JustWork Update: Closing JustRenos
Hi Friends and Partners,
I am writing to let you know that I recently met with the Board, and we made the difficult decision to dissolve the Renos enterprise.
We're proud of the work that JustRenos has done over the past 15 years, and our employees have taken great pride in seeing the tangible outcomes of their hard work in the form of new and renewed living spaces. We've struggled to make JustRenos consistently work financially and have concluded that this business is not the best fit for our mission and employees. Managing lots of smaller contracts with higher skill requirements and dependency on sub-trades doesn't create enough target employee hours for the management effort and risk that this business entails.
Our other enterprises are doing well. We're also exploring an option for a third enterprise that would provide a healthy work environment with lower skill requirements.
As faithful supporters of our organization, we wanted to ensure you received this update directly from JustWork and understand why this difficult decision was taken, as well as how we are seeking to secure the future sustainability of JustWork through a potential third enterprise. We always welcome ideas and suggestions from our network of supporters, so please feel free to reach out if there's anything you think you can contribute as we seek to determine our next steps.
