WHO WE ARE
JustWork emerged in 2004 in response to a growing number of people in the Grandview-Woodlands neighbourhood of East Vancouver who were struggling to find work and maintain it. JustWork initially began by offering vocational counselling but discovered that many employees were unable to secure stable employment in the traditional workforce. Following this discovery, JustWork was incorporated as a charity in 2006, with a focus on the development of social enterprises to meet our mandate to offer dignified, meaningful work opportunities to people facing barriers to work. JustWork meets this mandate through the operation of two social enterprises: JustPotters and JustCatering. JustWork also partners with like-minded organizations as part of a holistic approach to community care, creating opportunities for our employees to make valuable workplace contributions and enjoy the goodness of meaningful work. |

- Stewardship: Honouring the gifts we've been given. We honour our relationships and resources by caring for our employees, providing quality goods and services to our clients, cultivating fiscal responsibility, and striving for environmental sustainability.
